Bring us back to last weekend in San Francisco…. When sparkly cocktails were paired with stunning jewels in an event with @thesisgems founder Cate and her creative collaborators.

Last night Gem X went stark raving MAD About Jewelry, at @madmuseum annual exhibition of handpicked contemporary jewelry.

“I love turning trash into treasure,” says Peter Tunney, a Neo-pop artist working with language, text and interesting objects.

Yesterday, we eagerly gathered at Sotheby’s NYC for a taste of their Magnificent Jewels and Luxury Week.

About last night…we all felt a little like Alice as we stepped into Marla Aaron’s whimsical wonderland for a night of jewelry n’ revelry.

Last week we had the chance to meet two true forces of jewelry, Melanie Grant and Elisabetta Cipriani, for a personal tour of the magnificent exhibition “Force of Nature”

Six shiny tiaras sitting on a shelf… one jumped off and landed on our heads! The crowning moment of our jewelry adventures in London last week, of course, involved some serious headgear.

Geneva sparkled and shined for us last weekend. During our first international jewelry excursion, a lucky group of travelers was welcomed to @gemgeneve and Geneva with the gracious @jewelsandthegang as our guide.

What a beautiful evening Gem X had at Stephen Webster’s Mayfair salon this past Tuesday evening. Stephen and his salon manager Elena were consummate hosts, welcoming us into their stunning space to view the even more stunning cocktail rings on display, all from their current exhibition.

It was an evening of glam rocks and glam company. A tremendous thank you to @charlottepeel_jewellery, @sparkly.ruth and the rest of the team at @lyonandturnbulljewels for sharing their new exhibition “Glam Rocks: British Jewelry from the 1970s” with us on Thursday evening- and in such style!

Gem X NYC took to the seas on a Bejeweled Sunset Cruise adventure around the NY harbor. Donning our best nautical jewels (we spied pearl rings and necklaces, anchor pendants, and golden knots, among other seafaring gems) we gathered with jewelry friends to enjoy the most beautiful of sunsets and skylines.

It was an afternoon of bling and rings at the Goldsmiths’ Fair in London yesterday, where we enjoyed a private talk on this year’s Fair exhibition ‘Rings: A World of Invention’ by Dr. Dora Thornton and Dr. Frances Parton, curators of the Goldsmiths’ Company Collection

A beautiful London evening in a beautiful London boutique. We were given insight into Annoushka and Lucia’s many charm stories, discussing, as Lucia described it, ‘the most personal of jewels.’

You may think it cheesy of me to say that the “inner sanctum” described in the invitation was entirely true when we stepped through the threshold into Loren Nicole’s studio this past Sunday.

Iron certainly felt worth its weight in gold as we gathered for our first event in London of the year several weeks ago.

Gem X NYC Core member Joanna W. Pollack took members on an exclusive tour at Sotheby’s to experience Luxury Week and Magnificent Jewels. We all swooned over a Cartier Art Deco 50+ carat necklace, and it took a few afternoon Spritzes to bring us back to earth.
