The Gem X Scholarship Fund is a charitable initiative designed to provide financial assistance to aspiring jewelry designers, academics and historians who possess exceptional talent, creativity, and a deep commitment to making a positive difference in the world through their craft or focus . Our scholarship program aims to foster innovation, inclusivity, and social responsibility within the jewelry industry. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment that welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or disability. Our scholarship program aims to break down barriers and promote equal opportunities for aspiring jewelry designers.

The Gem X Scholarship Fund has raised over $10000 each year since its inception, and we hope to continue to do so for years to come in our efforts to support Gem X scholars.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Gem X Scholarship Fund applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrate a strong passion and aptitude for jewelry design, history or research.
- Showcase a commitment to using jewelry as a medium for social change, sustainability, or philanthropy.
- Provide a portfolio of original jewelry designs that exemplify creativity and craftsmanship.
All eligible candidates, irrespective of their background, are encouraged to apply.

Selection Process
Our selection committee, composed of industry experts and philanthropic leaders, will carefully review each application and evaluate candidates based on their creativity, skill level, commitment to social impact, and potential for growth in the jewelry industry. The application process has been designed to provide equal opportunities for all applicants. We are committed to ensuring that each application is evaluated fairly and without bias. Finalists are invited for an interview as part of the selection process.

Scholarship Benefits
The GemX Scholarship aims to provide comprehensive support to its recipients, including the following benefits:
- Financial assistance to cover a portion of the recipient’s tuition fees towards jewellery, educational
materials, or related expenses for accredited institutions such as the GIA, FIT, Pratt Institute, etc - Mentorship opportunities with established professionals in the jewelry industry.
- Complimentary Gem X membership and networking opportunities to industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Recognition and visibility through Gem X platforms and partnerships.
Creating an inclusive and diverse jewelry industry is not only a core value of the GemX Scholarship but also a broader commitment of GemX. We believe that by fostering inclusivity, we can empower individuals from all walks of life to contribute their unique perspectives and talents to the field of jewelry design.
