December: Met’s “The Body Transformed” Exhibition
What is jewelry? Why do we wear it? What meanings does it carry? These are the questions that the Met’s “The Body Transformed” jewelry exhibit aim to answer. Traversing time and space, The Met explores how jewelry acts upon and activates the body it adorns.
November: The Many Facets of L’Ecole Jewelry Arts
Every two years, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, journeys from Paris to New York to take us into their fantastic world of gems & jewels. Gem X was able to enter their world for an intimate tour of three exceptional exhibitions.
July: Rendezvous at the Met
Gem X enjoyed a night at the Met with an evening jewelry tour, led by Levi Higgs (@levi_higgs), David Webb archivist, and Mark Rosen (@markatthemuseum), head of social media at Artsy and expert in all things Met-related.
June: Jewelry for Breakfast at Christie’s
Gem X enjoyed a private preview of Christie’s Magnificent Jewels June auction, which featured a rare selection of signed jewels, colored gemstones and important diamonds.
April: An Evening with Fortuna & Belperron
It was an evening to remember as Gem X was invited into the Fortuna Auction House for cocktails and a chance to learn about the extraordinary jewelry of Bo Legendre.
March: Private Tour of the Cartier Mansion
Gem X members were taken on a private tour of the Cartier Fifth Avenue Mansion. Recently restored, the Mansion is the largest Cartier boutique in the world.
