A walk through The Winter Show for our first event of the year! NYC members made there way through the Park Avenue Armory to view some of the jewelry highlights of the fair from A la Vieille Russie, Didier, James Robinson, Kentshire, Koopman Rare Art, Macklowe Gallery, Simon Teakle Fine Jewelry, Veronique Bamps, and Wartski. Over 70 internationally renowned dealers gather for the fair showcasing work spanning 5,000 years full of sensational curation of fine art, furniture and paperwork.
“Jewelry is a conversation starter. I don’t know a woman who doesn’t look at another woman’s jewelry – it’s a great way of presenting yourself.” It is with these words that British designer Solange Azagury-Partridge concluded Gem X London’s first event of 2025; a mesmerizing presentation of her chromatic stone-smattered collections, precluding her new book, ‘Jewelry for Chromantics’. London members were treated to an evening salon of Solange’s posh and punk jewels and coveted HotLips collection, hosted at her two beautiful stores and studio. From her contemporary tiaras to lacquered lips and edgy cocktail rings, Solange’s jewels were a visual feast of colour, shape and carefully collected stones that were just as dazzling up close as in the printed pages of her book. What’s more, over refreshments and around her fluorescent fireplace, Solange signed copies of her monograph and spoke to members about her journey as a jeweller, recalling the details, lessons and favourite designs of her career, in typically kaleidoscope colour.

We are excited to have a few new additions into our Core Collection. On rotation we have added the “Tree of Life Pendant” by Silvia Furmanovich and the “Pink Carnation Brooch” by Luz Camino. We can’t wait to share these pieces with you and hear about your fabulous journey’s with them. If you are interested in learning more about the collection please email us at assistant@gemx.club.

We are thrilled to welcome our new members this month.

Founded in 2020, SO-LE STUDIO specializes in statement jewelry crafted from leftover materials including leather and brass, creating unique sculptural pieces that play with illusion and contrast: voluminous and hefty in appearance, yet unbelievably lightweight owing to the buttery leather composition. For this conversation, we were joined by founder and designer Maria Sole Ferragamo. Take a look back at this fascinating conversation, in which Sole explained her unique perspective and process in creating her unconventional jewels, underpinned by the principles of quality, scarcity and innovation.
FINDING BEAUTY IN THE UNEXPECTED

We went on a virtual tour of the Cincinnati Art Museum’s exhibition “Simply Brilliant,” featured in the article, and 120 spectacular pieces by the leading independent jewelers of the 60s and 70s, like Barbara Anton, Andrew Grima, Arthur King and Jean Vendome. Our guides were historians Kimberly Klosterman, owner of the collection, and Amanda Triossi, who met when Kimberly discovered her love for jewelry of this era while taking a Sotheby’s course with Amanda. The two discussed this groundbreaking period in time and its jewelry, as well as the journey of building such a wondrous collection.
