A bustling month uptown in for New York Members.  To kick things off we were given a private tour though Van Cleef & Arpels, Garden of Green. We traveled through time and shades of green learning the history and enchanting stories of each piece in the exhibition. After a morning in the museum, we crossed town to the Park Avenue Armory to the Salon Art + Design to see a jewelry panel on art and jewels collecting. From a Garden of Green to a field of flowers, members were lucky enough to spend two evenings with the other-worldly, Luz Camino. After a bustling day at Bergdorf Goodman exploring the Luz Camino cases, we made our way to the upper east side and cozied up for a wonderful talk by Luz about her book “A Bit of Universe”.  Surrounded by jewelry friends and flowers, we toasted her 50 year career, inspirations, and vibrant creations. With one final stop, Mikimoto breathed a bit of magic into the start of our holiday season with a private Pearl Masterclass inside their 5th Avenue salon. We touched and saw a demonstration of pearl stringing, gasped over the famous pearls worn by Marilyn Monroe.

London members were invited into the realm of Hannah Martin for a night of piercing and celebration. The ritual of piercing throughout time has been the center of many cultures and traditions, and her work is an effort to return to the connection that this act brings. To celebrate this, she created fine jewelry works that focuses on quality and designs that draw joy. Hannah believes that if we’re going to put anything into our bodies, it should be beautifully made with passion, enthusiasm and by someone who has a love of their craft. Our next stop was with designer Anna Kerr to view here newest jewels and receive a chart-reading. Anna’s collection designed in accordance with the principles of Vedic Astrology. Not only is she a certified Gemologist, but is also studying under a renowned guru and spiritual leader in Mumbai. Anna guided us through these principles, outlining the key planets and their respective gemstones and how they can enhance a wearer’s life. Members tried on multiple colored spinels, warm sapphires, and bold lapis lazuli as Anna enlightened us on the connecting link with jewelry that one can gain from gemstones.
