September – London: A Guided Tour of Wallace Chan’s ‘Wheel of Time’ Exhibition
Gem X Members in London were privileged to view the @wallacechanart exhibition at @christiesjewels. We were led by Mei Y Giam, Christie’s Private Sales Director in Jewellery, who gave us a wonderful tour around the exhibition full of anecdotes and history of Mr. Chan’s life.

Jewelry friends of Gem X and @wjalosangeles were treated to a delightful evening preview, hosted by @hindmanauctions VP & Senior Specialist Katie Guilbault, of the jewels from the upcoming Important Jewelry sale.

Gem X NYC was invited to preview the “Enchanting Imagination: The Objets d’Art of André Chervin and Carvin French Jewelers,” at the @nyhistory.
July – NYC: AKC Museum of the Dog – Art of The Dog Collar Private Tour
The AKC @museumofthedog hosted us for a private tour of “Identity and Restraint: Art of the Dog Collar” showcasing the evolution of function, design and adornment of the collar.
July – NYC: Luz Camino’s “Jewels in a Gem” Private Tour
Yesterday, we stepped out of the urban jungle into a jewel studded forest at David Webb. “Into the Woods” is the first in-house exhibition by the iconic American jeweler, celebrating the influence of nature on its jewels.
June – NYC: An Exploration of the Legacy of The House of Grima
“To see time through a stone.” This was one of the beautiful thoughts shared during our private event with Grima Jewellery on Monday night, where we explored the legacy of Andrew Grima, a designer who is often called the father of modern jewelry. The line was about a collection of stunning gouache drawings depicting watches designed by Grima with faces made of thinly sliced gemstones.
June – London: A Studio Visit to Elsa Tierney
Last week, Gem X’ers in London had the most amazing studio visit to Elsa Tierney, the brilliant jewelry sculptor. We got to see her stunning work up close, learn about her inspiration, and hear about her quest to learn about wax (she has traveled as far as Japan to learn different wax recipes).

This week we were dazzled celebrating 75 years of the Bvlgari Serpenti. We viewed decades of the transformation and renovation of the iconic Serpenti and a hypnotic installation by multi-award-winning media artist, Refik Anadol.

On Tuesday, we were over the moon to visit the studio of goldsmith and designer, Anthony Lent. We followed Lent on a journey spanning nearly 50 years from his time studying abroad to returning to the US to begin his career in jewelry.
